El JardínThe Garden

The garden is the most refined place in the cortijo.  It is surprisingly magical: a cross between a romantic garden and an Andalusian-Moorish patio reminiscent of the typical walled gardens of Granada. There are pathways and abundant vegetation – leafy cork oaks, palm trees, pines and other ornamental plants. The sound of their rustling leaves joins with the murmur and music of the fountains, especially the beautiful central fountain, which is octagonal and used to be located in the Granada home of the empress Eugenia de Montijo. Some of the columns that decorate the patio also come from this house. The peacocks that proudly display their beautiful plumage complete the sensuality and beauty of the place.

In the background stands the elegant principal façade with its focal point, the entrance door, which is highlighted with stonework. The windows are distributed on both sides of the door and protected with strong grilles, which are very original due to their semicircular shape and typically Andalusian rain guards.

El JardínOn the second floor there are balconies adorned with historically-influenced molding and protected by beautiful iron railings. The windows of the side façade line up on both floors to create horizontal axes, with their unique semicircular grilles. The roof of the main house and those of the rest of the buildings are gabled, using traditional Moorish tiles. On sunny winter mornings and cool summer evenings – it is available all year long – this enchanting garden is decorated to exquisitely and elegantly welcome all types of celebrations; it becomes an incomparably beautiful setting and makes any event unique and special.
